When they “Hot-Lanta”..they aren’t kidding!!! After pouring so much energy into finding the perfect skin care routine during quarantine.. I didn’t invest much time into finding makeup that is right for each season of my skin. We know our skin changes from season to season, so our makeup and skin routines should too! I’m giving you a simple list of the treasures I have found this summer and what I will be repurchasing!!
Summer brings unique challenges because of the intense heat (depending on where you are), you need long lasting but also fresh and light. Finding that balance was NOT easy, let me tell you. But don’t worry… I tried all the products so you don’t have to and i’m here to share my newly found must-haves!!!
Summer is my absolute favorite season and it has a vibe and style of it’s own, but whether I am going for a rooftop cocktail with the girls, a barbecue, or pool date with moi..I know these products are what I am living in this summer!! Of course, I also try to use the summer to give my skin a few days here and there with no-makeup and allow it to really breathe and soak in the vitamin d – (Highly recommend trying to get a few non-makeup days in before summer is over), but also remember to do whatever makes you feel like a boss babe. My favorite especially in summer, gives a skin perfect glow, covers all the imperfections, makes your legs and body look gorgeous – Illumination Station (without the glitter though of course)!! Blends easily, lays naturally, and radiates right where you need it.
Amazing scrub, reminds me of a vacation, smells amazing – The perfect exfoliation after your you have doused yourself in lotion for three months (lol), melts on the skin and gives you that natural shower on an island feeling. Warning: Do not exfoliate if you are sun burnt!!!!!
Gives a face an extra glow – Speaking of self tan, I have been loving the Ever Vacay Drops. This is a gradual self tan that you can use on your face and body. Basically, you mix 2-6 drops in your moisturizer and you can apply it in the morning or night. It applies so evenly, and I love that it can be used in the morning. Typically, self tanner smells too strong to apply in the morning. This has the same small that the other Ever products do. It’s smells so good.
The lightest, best, and cost friendly lotion I have found. A little goes a long way and it is just perfect for the summer y’all. The entire collection is great! SuperGoop has some great products you should check out the rest of their website as well!
