The Total Truth About Coolsculpting

Posted on 2 min read 21 views

Hey lovelies!

I hope you guys are enjoying your first tastes of sun, surf, and sand as school gets out for the summer! Because we’re now officially in bathing suit season, I felt like it was a great time to dish about one of my favorite summer-prep procedures… Coolsculpting!

Okay, so Coolsculpting can have kind of a contentious reputation. A lot of people have heard that this procedure is really painful and you come out with huge bruises.

If you’ve heard this rumor, and it’s stopped you from looking further into Coolsculpting, this blog post is for you! I’m going to dish on my experience with Coolsculpting just recently at AYA Spa in Georgia.

Let’s back up first, just in case some of you have never heard of Coolsculpting before.

What is Coolsculpting?

Coolsculpting is a fat-freezing treatment designed to help with those stubborn folds of fat that just don’t seem to go away whatever you do. It’s not for weight loss, but helps drastically reduce the appearance of fat pockets under the chin, around the bra straps, thighs, tummy and wherever those stubborn pockets of body fat sit.

I chose to have my lower stomach and inner thighs treated, and I’m going to tell you all about it!

The Coolsculpt Process

Okay, so you can’t just walk in and have a Coolsculpt procedure right off the street. First you need to have a consultation where you define your goals with the aesthetician. Coolscupt doesn’t happen overnight. Final results are seen in three months, with improvements visible as early as 3-4 weeks.

So here’s what happened with my treatment:

I went in and my aesthetician hooked up the machine and the attachment for the procedure. For the first five minutes you feel really cold in the area, tehen after that you don’t really feel anything until the session is over.

The uncomfortable part comes at the end, when the taesthetician takes the attachment off and massages the area for 2 minutes. This brings the circulation back to the area which can be really uncomfortable for a few minutes. However, it goes away!

Afterwards the area can feel numb for up to four weeks, but it’s not painful. The first three days might carry a little discomfort, but mine was not bad at all. In fact, I went to yoga right after my treatment.

I saw results at three weeks, and was amazed. Keep in mind if you diet and exercise, you will see the most drastic results. It’s incredible!

So in short? Coolsculpt did not leave me covered in bruises, it wasn’t only mildly uncomfortable for two minutes in the whole application, and I saw noticeable results in the mirror in just three weeks.

My verdict? It’s SO worth it.
