Suiting Up

Posted on 1 min read 2 views

Hey lovelies,

One of my favorite trends is coming back in a major way, with interesting presentations. You may have noticed in my last few posts that I’m rocking some serious suits! Deconstructing this timeless fashion staple, or adding interesting new materials, details and more is all over the runways this season.

Today I’m featuring one of my fall favorites, a fresh take on the suit. This double-breasted shiny blue blazer is a show-stopper in the office or as a daytime look. At first glance, it looks like you shrugged into your boyfriend’s blazer and went off to slay the office. The haute-couture androgynous look is so in.

Relaxed pants that skim the ankles are a great opportunity to dress down in sneaks as I did or rock a fierce heel. The look is fresh, new and unexpected.

You’ll find links to these pieces, plus a few others I’ve picked out below!

Inside the Fall FabFitFun Box

Posted on 2 min read 3 views

Hello, lovelies!

It’s that time of year again! My Fall FabFitFun box has arrived, and I’m absolutely obsessed with the contents. My box was full of totally amazing items – over $200 for just $39.99. Here’s what came inside:

GLAMGLOW BUBBLESHEET Oxygenating Deep Cleanse Mask, set of 2

GLAMGLOW products are pricey but so worth it! They produce one of my favorite intense moisturizers, and I’ve heard amazing things about the bubble mask. The cool thing about these masks is that you leave it on for about 3 minutes and then remove. The remaining bubbles are meant to be used as a cleanser, so you can get a really rich foam lather to clean out your pores.

Beautyblender

If you’ve never used a beauty blender before, you are missing out! These foundation applicators are amazing. You wet the blender and squeeze out the excess water. Then apply your foundation in a stippling motion for a gentle airbrush look. You can also use this for powder as well!

Simply Whimsical Tea Towels

FabFitFun boxes aren’t just beauty products! These modern-chic tea towels are made of mostly cotton and feature a simple design of grey and white lines. Minimal-chic for your kitchen!

Skin & Co Roma Blue in Capri Shower Gel

The scent of this shower gel is super woodsy, with pine and spicy herb notes. It’s a super lathery shower gel!

Luna Rica Cashew Butter Filled Fruit & Nut Bar in Salted Caramel Nut

Organic, gluten-free, and only 170 calories! The cashew butter filling is unexpected but a great source of protein.

ALFRED Ceramic & Stainless Steel Teapot

This mini teapot gives you about two servings of tea. It has a gorgeous cherry blossom line drawing design against sky blue ceramic. It looks so cute in my kitchen! I chose this instead of the french press.

Crown Brush 6 Piece Brush Set

This six-piece brush set is perfect for general makeup application. It comes with a powder brush, blush brush, concealer brush, shadow brush, blending brush and eyeliner/ brow brush. Everything you need for a full face! I chose this luxury brush set instead of the Vince Camuto tote.

CYLO Cobra Bluetooth Wireless Earbuds

I chose these earbuds because of their playback time of 4 hours, built-in mic for call capability and super-comfy ear fit.

Touch in Sol Metalist Liquid Foil Lipstick Duo in Penny

These shiny copper lipsticks are perfect shades for fall. Just putting them on, I can almost taste a pumpkin spice latte! One side is the lipstick in Penny, and the other is a lip gloss topper for high shine.

Blue Shift Dress & Bee Belt

Posted on 1 min read 3 views

Hello, lovelies!

Today’s look is a sporty version of office wear. I love this sleeveless dress that keeps me cool in the Atlanta heat without looking too casual! I’ve dressed it up with a statement belt that’s a must-have for my looks. This bee belt sits on a knit navy blue and red belt, with pearled wings. It’s eye-catching and fashion-forward. Absolutely one of my favorite pieces!

Since we’re transitioning into Fall, I’ve paired my blue shift with black accessories to tone down my look and embrace the jewel tones and dark colors of autumnwear. My black Louboutin pumps go perfectly with my Chanel handbag to create an effortlessly chic look for the office or errands.

Fall 2018 Trend: Tweed

Posted on 1 min read 0 views

Hey lovelies,

There’s another fall trend making a return just in time for cooler weather. The trend is tweed!

Retro styles are coming back in, and one popular one seeing a comeback are edgy twists on traditional tweed suits. Reminiscent of Mad Men, tweed suits are a cute way to update your office wardrobe with a throwback.

I’m in love with the pearl edging on this suit, and the material is nice and thick to keep you warm in the fall months. See links below!

Fall Trend 2018: Animal Prints

Posted on 1 min read 0 views

Hello, lovelies!

Fall is officially upon us, and I don’t know about you but I am certainly embracing my favorite fashion trends. One of those is a classic that still manages to be fresh, and that’s animal prints!

One of my favorite things about animal prints, no matter what they are- leopard, zebra or even snakeskin – they can be incredibly versatile. After all, you can throw a black blazer and nice heels on with a leopard print dress like my favorite one above and you’re immediately ready for the office. However, if you whip off the blazer and let down your hair, you’re suddenly ready for a night on the town.

I’ve picked out some favorites for you to recreate the look. See my picks below and click on the image to follow through to the site!
